Swimtub, a US-based company, has entrusted Whynot to create a new garden plastic pool. While these outdoor pools are popular in the United States, they typically share a similar circular shape and are made from standard blue plastic. Whynot has reimagined both the overall form of the product and a range of accessories to enhance both its aesthetic and functional appeal.
Swimtub features soft lines that allow it to be transported by rolling, yet it departs from the traditional circular shape. The walls are clad in an outdoor fabric that not only decorates the product but can also be selected to better suit one’s garden. Whynot has designed a table and a shader that attach to the pool with a simple and robust clamp system. Completing the set is an inflatable two-part cover that allows the pool to be closed when not in use, without excessively dissipating the internal water temperature.
