Hygge Wireless Thermostat is the new Whynot project for Seitron. On this occasion, Seitron wanted a breakthrough product, out of the box, capable of changing the rules of the game in the Wireless Thermostats sector.
Compared to a traditional thermostat, designed to be a wall-mounted box, we have had maximum freedom to explore new shapes and layouts. The choice of a vertical development was made to enhance the concept of a wireless thermostat that evolves from a wall-mounted device to become a portable object that can be handled like a remote control. A rational shape where every detail becomes the protagonist like the e-paper display which with its matte finish and very high resolution offers maximum integration with the device.
Intuitiveness and aesthetic cleanliness guided the definition of the UI: a single rocker button with the same size as the display for a rigorous and perfect formal balance.
Hygge Wireless Thermostat is designed to live on the wall or on a shelf, between a vase and a book thanks to its magnetic pedestal that makes it a freestanding object. The name Hygge comes from the Danish idea of comfort, a welcoming and enveloping life and home experience, made of appreciation for everyday life.
